Meet the board.

Alexa Mulieri

Charlie's mom & co-founder

Mike Mulieri

Charlie's dad & Co-founder
Michael and Alexa are Charlie's parents and the founders of the Charles J. Mulieri Foundation. They met in college at Loyola University Maryland. Neither ever imagined when they vowed "in sickness and in health" nearly 10 years ago that it would mean standing shoulder to shoulder in a hospital room on the heaviest of days, fighting for their son through the unknown. The two learned early on that a partnership isn't just about sharing the beautiful parts of life, but about becoming an unbreakable team when life asks more of you than you ever thought you could give. Currently, Michael is the president of Moldgone LLC, a family-owned restoration company. Alexa worked as a speech-language pathologist but now stays at home with their daughter Ava and son John.
Bethany brings more than a decade of pediatric clinical expertise to the Charles J. Mulieri Foundation. She is a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and a nationally board-certified specialist in swallowing and feeding disorders. Bethany has dedicated her career to caring for medically complex children and supporting families during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Her connection to the CJM Foundation’s mission became even more personal as she witnessed Charlie’s journey through the eyes of both a clinician and a friend.
